Resumen: Platón
es un filósofo Griego quien fue discípulo de Sócrates y maestro de Aristóteles,
nació en Atenas en 427 a.C. y murió en 347 a.C. Nacido en el seno de una
familia aristocrática, Platón abandonó su inicial vocación política y sus
aficiones literarias por la filosofía, atraído por Sócrates. Viajó por Oriente
y el sur de Italia, donde entró en contacto con los discípulos de Pitágoras. Allí
fundó en el año 387 una escuela de filosofía, situada en las afueras de la
ciudad. Platón representa el dualismo. Según él, existen dos mundos totalmente
contrapuestos: el mundo de las ideas y el mundo sensible.
Platon is a Greek philosopher who was a disciple of
Socrates and teacher of Aristotle, was born in Athens in 427 a.C. and died in
347 a.C. Born into an aristocratic family, Platon abandoned his initial
political vocation and his literary hobbies for philosophy, attracted by
Socrates. He traveled through the East and the south of Italy, where he came
into contact with the disciples of Pythagoras. There he founded in 387 a
philosophy school, located on the outskirts of the city. Platon represents
dualism. According to him, there are two completely opposite worlds: the world
of ideas and the sensible world.
